Boeing 767-432ER, operated by Delta Air Lines as N829MH. The aircraft is one of Delta's distinctive stretched 767s, originally acquired to replace aging Lockheed L-1011 TriStars on long-haul and high-capacity routes. Powered by two General Electric CF6-80C2 engines, N829MH combines efficient twin-engine operation with intercontinental range and a comfortable twin-aisle cabin. Delta has used the type across the Atlantic, to South America and Hawaii, and on selected domestic services. Comprehensive cabin refurbishment has kept the relatively rare 767-400ER competitive while Delta continues introducing newer Airbus A330neo and A350 widebody aircraft.

Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to fill the niche between the narrow-bodied 707 and wide-bodied 747, the 767 was first flown on September 26th, 1981. Developed in tandem with the narrow-bodied 757 twinjet, both aircraft share a common digital cockpit layout and are operated by a two man flight crew. Thanks to a proven reliability track-record, the 767 is approved for extended twin engine operations (ETOPS) making it a popular choice for airlines flying transatlantic routes.
