The BAC Jet Provost (originally built by Hunting Percival) was a British jet-powered trainer aircraft used by the Royal Air Force (RAF) from 1955 to 1993. The Jet Provost was also a successful export product, serving in many air forces worldwide. Designed to meet an RAF requirement for a jet training aircraft, the Jet Provost was first flown on June 26th, 1954. © Copyright 2003-2025 The Flying Mule, Inc. SkyMax's 1:72 scale Jet Provost is constructed in diecast metal, with value pricing and just the right number of features. The canopy with cordite charge can be opened or completely removed for an unobstructed view of the cockpit interior, which features side-by-side seats complete with overhead ejection seat handles, dual control sticks and pad-printed instruments. The internal nose-mounted landing lights have transparent lenses, and the solid metal wing blends almost seamlessly with the fuselage. The wing-mounted landing gear is provided as a subassembly for quick ground configuration. The armed “Strikemaster” variant features under-wing mounted ordnance such as bombs and fuel tanks. © Copyright 2003-2013 The Flying Mule, Inc.
