Exercise Cobra Warrior is designed to develop and practice tactics and techniques by way of complex scenarios against other participants. Exercise Cobra Warrior 2019 took place between September 1st and 20th and used RAF Waddington as the main base. Participating units included Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, the Israeli Air Force made its premiere attendance, Italian Air Force, German Air Force and the USAF. Representing the Italian Air Force 37 Stormo "Cesare Toschi", 18 Gruppo Trapani Air Force Base was Typhoon F-2000 37-12 c/n ISO53, MM7321/37-12. Designed as part of a co-operative effort by Germany, Italy and the UK to produce an air superiority fighter, the Eurofighter was first flown on March 27th, 1994. The Eurofighter is a single-seat, twin-engine, agile combat aircraft used in air-to-air, air-to-ground and tactical reconnaissance roles. It is intentionally aerodynamically unstable, which gives it its high levels of agility-but this means the Typhoon is controlled by a computerized "fly by wire" system instead of by its pilot. The Eurofighter's first rate performance is matched by excellent all round vision and by sophisticated attack, identification and defense systems and stealth technology. © Copyright 2003-2024 The Flying Mule, Inc.
