The Hellenic Air Force, abbreviated to HAF is the air force of Greece. The mission of the Hellenic Air Force is to guard and protect Greek airspace, provide air assistance and support to the Hellenic Army and the Hellenic Navy, as well as the provision of humanitarian aid in Greece and around the world. The 332 All Weather Squadron was formed on August 11, 1989, as part of 114 Combat Wing at Tanagra and was given the call sign "Geraki" (Hawk). On November 1st, 1989, sporting their blue and gray camouflage paint schemes, the first 14 Mirage 2000s were delivered to former Mirage F-1CG and F-4E Phantom pilots. 332 Squadron was certified on the Mirage 2000EG in November 1990. The primary tasks of the Hellenic Mirage 2000s are as an all-weather interceptor and anti-shipping where the main weapon is the Exocet AM-39 Missile. Designed as a lightweight fighter for the French Air Force, the Dassault Mirage 2000 was first flown on March 10th, 1978. The Mirage 2000 is a fourth generation fighter based on the Mirage III. It has a delta wing, one engine, a dual-intake, and can carry a range of air-to-surface weapons, including laser-guided bombs. Variants include a single-seat or dual-seat version. The dual-seat 2000N is nuclear strike capable, armed with nuclear weapons and equipped with navigation avionics that are capable of handling air-to-ground munitions. The Mirage 2000C is a single-seat, all weather interceptor armed with high firing rate 30mm guns. © Copyright 2003-2025 The Flying Mule, Inc. Hobby Master's 1:72 scale Mirage 2000 is a sleek diecast model with crisp panel lines, manufactured with only the smallest amount of plastic. The side mounted engine intakes with fixed inlet cones are constructed in plastic for greater accuracy and the configurable canopy provides a clear view of the instrument panel, control stick and ejection seat. The rear turbine blades are easily seen inside the exhaust nozzle and the large refueling probe is mounted on the nose (in most releases). The thin yet solid metal wing features exceptional panel line details, flap and aileron actuator arms at the rear and a complete set of removable wing mounted ordnance. © Copyright 2003-2013 The Flying Mule, Inc.
