The Lockheed L-049 Constellation was born in the early 40's to meet a requirement from Trans Continental & Western Air (TWA). The required specifications were to build an intercontinental airliner with a pressurized that could outperform the new Douglas DC-4. This project proved to be quite successful as TWA went on to be the largest operator of Connies in the world. This TWA title is accurately rendered in 1/400 scale diecast metal. As an added bonus, each comes with a collectors tin!
Designed to meet Pan Am and TWA requirements for a 40 passenger airliner, the Constellation was first flown in its military version of C69 on January 9th, 1943. © Copyright 2003-2024 The Flying Mule, Inc.
