Here comes a Panzer III Ausf.M in the markings of 23.Panzer-Division, a unit created in France on 14 March 1942. This division transferred to the southern sector of the Eastern Front in April 1942. It fought near Kharkov as well as participating in the failed attempt to relieve besieged German troops in Stalingrad. This tank is finished in a masterfully painted camouflage scheme of mottled red-brown and green over a sand basecoat. The tank's markings include an Eiffel Tower symbol, reflecting 23.Panzer-Division's origins in France. The amount of detail incorporated on this tank is most impressive, and this Ausf.M would be an asset in any armor collection.
