The Panzer IV Ausf. G was a continual improvement on the formidable Panzer IV tank series. The Ausf. G featured a more powerful and longer barrelled 75mm gun that provided a stronger counter to the improved Russian T-34.
Over 6,000 examples of Panzerkampfwagen IV tanks were produced between 1943 and 1945. Armed with a short-barrel 75mm gun and driven by a 250-horsepower engine, the Panzer IV quickly became the workhorse of Panzer Divisions. After the appearance of the Russian T-34-with its dominant guns and heavier, sloped armor-the Panzer needed design modifications such as thick side and turret skirts, a new gun (the KwK 40 75mm L/48) and a larger turret. With these upgrades, the Panzer IV proved equal to the Soviet T-34 and was also effective against British tanks and American M-4 Sherman Medium Tanks. © Copyright 2003-2025 The Flying Mule, Inc.
Forces of Valor's 1:32 scale Panzer IV medium tank series brings to life the most widely manufactured and deployed German tank of the Second World War. The models in this series have a turret that rotates 360 degrees with a pivoting gun and opening commander's cupola. The hull includes opening crew hatches and a retractable antenna. Each release also includes rolling rubber tracks and working suspension on each track wheel. The series covers the short-barrelled F variant and longer barrelled G variant. The G variant also features removable side-mounted armor plating and has hinged panels that reveal working hatches on both sides of the turret.
