Boeing 747-830 Intercontinental, serial number 61540, entered service with Lufthansa as D-ABYM. The aircraft joined Lufthansa's flagship long haul fleet in 2012 as part of the airline's introduction of the Boeing 747-8I. Operating primarily from Frankfurt, it serves major international destinations across North America, Asia, and the Middle East. Configured with first class, business class, premium economy, and economy seating, the aircraft offers modern passenger comfort and advanced cabin amenities. Powered by General Electric GEnx-2B67 engines, D-ABYM provides improved fuel efficiency and extended range compared with earlier Boeing 747 variants.
