Boeing 747-430, serial number 25034, entered service with Lufthansa as D-ABVH. The aircraft joined Lufthansa's widebody fleet in the early 1990s and operated long haul routes from Frankfurt to major destinations across North America, Asia, and Africa. Configured with multiple passenger classes, the 747-400 provided high capacity service and modern inflight amenities for international travel. Powered by General Electric CF6 engines, the aircraft offered strong range and reliability. D-ABVH played an important role in Lufthansa's long distance operations during the 1990s and 2000s.
