"Woody" Vernon Crompton Woodward DFC and Bar RAF (22 December 1916 - 26 May 2000) was a Canadian fighter pilot and flying ace with the Royal Air Force during World War II. With 18 and 4 shared destroyed, 2 unconfirmed destroyed, 3 probables, and 11 damaged, Woodward tied Henry Wallace McLeod as Canada's second highest scoring pilot of the war.

Hawker Hurricane Mk II

Based on the Fury biplane and designed by Sydney Camm as a monoplane fighter, the Hurricane was first flown on November 6th, 1935. With its wide-set landing gear, easy handling, reliability, and stable gun platform, the Hurricane was suitable for a variety of different roles such as intruder, ground strafing and night fighter. Steel-tube construction meant cannon shells could pass right through the wood and fabric covering without exploding. The Hurricane underwent many modifications during its lifetime, including an upgraded Merlin engine and interchangeable multi-purpose wings, staging twelve 7.7mm guns and two 40mm anti-tank guns and carrying two 500lb bombs.

Forces of Valor's 1:72 scale Hawker Hurricane is a striking model, featuring hand-applied weathering effects and an almost entirely solid diecast metal construction. The solid metal wing has two detailed 20mm cannon barrels, radiator details and hand-painted landing and navigation lights. The landing gear is masterfully replicated, with structural details inside the wheel wells. Other fine details include simulated fabric-stretched control surfaces and a removable top engine cowling, revealing a beautifully detailed Rolls Royce Merlin engine with hand-painted wires.
