Airbus A340-642, serial number 764, entered service with Lufthansa as D-AIHX. The aircraft joined Lufthansa's long haul fleet and operated intercontinental services from Frankfurt and Munich to destinations across North America, Asia, and the Middle East. Configured with first class, business class, premium economy, and economy seating, it offered a premium passenger experience. Powered by Rolls Royce Trent 500 engines, the A340-600 provided excellent range and dependable performance. D-AIHX played an important role in Lufthansa's long distance operations during the 2000s and 2010s.
