Boeing 747-4B5, construction number 25885, was delivered to Korean Air as HL7488 in 1997. The aircraft served as part of the airline's long haul fleet, operating routes from Seoul Incheon to destinations across North America, Europe, and Asia. HL7488 featured Korean Air's four-class cabin layout, including first class suites, Prestige business class, premium economy, and economy seating, along with advanced inflight entertainment for its era. Powered by Pratt & Whitney PW4056 engines, the 747-400 offered long range and high capacity. HL7488 provided reliable service for decades before being retired as Korean Air transitioned to 747-8I and newer widebody aircraft, marking the end of its operational career.
Designed as a large capacity airliner and freight hauler, the 747 was first flown on February 9th, 1969. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
