Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, construction number 62760, was delivered to Lufthansa as D-ABPA in 2022 as part of the airline's next generation long haul fleet renewal. The aircraft entered service from Frankfurt on intercontinental routes to North America, Asia, and the Middle East, supporting network growth and improved efficiency. D-ABPA features Lufthansa's modern long haul cabin with business class, premium economy, and economy seating, along with updated inflight entertainment and connectivity. Powered by Rolls Royce Trent 1000 engines, the 787-9 offers reduced fuel burn, lower emissions, and enhanced passenger comfort. D-ABPA represents a key step in Lufthansa's transition toward a more sustainable and flexible widebody fleet.
