Airbus A321-231P2F, serial number 1695, was delivered to Qantas Freight as VH-XF4 in March 2024 following conversion from passenger service. Originally delivered to Dragonair as B-HTG in 2002, it later flew with Cathay Dragon before retirement from passenger operations. Powered by IAE V2533-A5 engines, VH-XF4 significantly increases Qantas Freight's cargo capacity while extending the service life of older A321 airframes. Nicknamed "Milky Way", it featured a special "Santa's Freight" livery during December 2024 operations. This aircraft represents a key component of Qantas Freight's fleet modernization, combining efficiency, reliability, and versatility for domestic and regional cargo routes across Australia.
Designed as a lengthened-fuselage version of the highly successful A320 design, the A321 was first flown on March 11th, 1993. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
