Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, registered VN-A818, flies for Bamboo Airways as part of the Vietnamese hybrid carrier's long-haul widebody fleet supporting international routes connecting Vietnam to Europe, including service between Hanoi and Frankfurt. Bamboo Airways introduced the 787-9 to expand beyond its original regional narrowbody network into intercontinental long-haul markets, wearing the airline's distinctive green and blue livery. As part of Bamboo's ambitious fleet expansion strategy since its 2019 launch, the aircraft represents the carrier's efforts to compete with established Vietnamese and international carriers on long-haul routes linking Southeast Asia to Western Europe.
