Airbus A318-111, serial number 2344, entered service with Air France as F-GUGM. The aircraft joined Air France's fleet for short and medium haul services from Paris to destinations throughout France and Europe. As the smallest member of the original A320 family, the A318 provided useful capacity for lower-demand routes while retaining the family's common cockpit and operating characteristics. Powered by two CFM International CFM56 engines, F-GUGM offered reliable and economical regional service. It became part of Air France's distinctive fleet of "Baby Bus" A318s, one of the last substantial fleets of the relatively rare Airbus variant.
Designed as a greatly shortened-fuselage version of the highly successful A320 design, the A318 was first flown on January 15th, 2002 © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
