Airbus A318-111, serial number 3009, entered service with Air France as F-GUGR. The aircraft joined Air France's narrowbody fleet and operated short and medium haul services linking Paris with destinations throughout France and Europe. Configured with flexible Business and Economy Class seating, the compact A318 was particularly useful on routes where the capacity of larger A319s and A320s was unnecessary. Powered by two CFM International CFM56 engines, F-GUGR provided dependable performance while sharing extensive operational commonality with other A320-family aircraft. The A318 became an increasingly rare sight as Air France gradually replaced the type with newer Airbus A220s.
Designed as a greatly shortened-fuselage version of the highly successful A320 design, the A318 was first flown on January 15th, 2002 © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
