The Airbus A350-900 is the original and most widely ordered variant of the A350 XWB (Extra Wide Body) family, a long-range, twin-engine widebody featuring a lightweight composite fuselage and wings paired with Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines. Entering service with Qatar Airways in January 2015, the type typically seats around 300 to 325 passengers across a two or three-class configuration and offers a wider cabin cross-section and lower cabin altitude than older widebody generations, improving passenger comfort on long-haul flights. Major operators include Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, and a growing number of Chinese carriers including Air China, China Eastern, and Sichuan Airlines.
