The Airbus A380-800 is the world's largest passenger airliner, a full double-deck widebody capable of carrying up to 850 passengers in an all-economy configuration, though most operators configure it for around 500 passengers across multiple classes. Entering service with Singapore Airlines in 2007, the type became a flagship aircraft for major long-haul carriers including Emirates, the largest A380 operator by far, as well as British Airways, Qantas, and Lufthansa. Airbus ended A380 production in 2021 after building 251 aircraft, but the type remains in active service on high-density long-haul routes at several airlines, prized for its passenger capacity and quiet cabin.
