Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, registered B-2725, was the very first Boeing 787 delivered to any airline in China, handed over to China Southern Airlines at a ceremony in Everett, Washington, on May 31, 2013. The aircraft debuted the specially designed "Dream Wings" livery, created after engineers discovered that China Southern's standard blue-and-gold cheatline distorted visually across the 787's curved composite fuselage. After thirteen years of service, B-2725 was retired and transferred to Thai Airways on August 27, 2026, closing the chapter on the Boeing 787's history within Chinese civil aviation as China Southern moved to sell its entire 787-8 fleet.
Designed as a mid-sized, wide-body airliner and constructed out of mostly composite material, the 787 was first flown on December 15th, 2009. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
