Airbus A321-231, entered service with Lufthansa as D-AISZ in November 2009. The aircraft operates short and medium haul routes throughout Europe and is powered by two International Aero Engines V2500 turbofans. After periods of storage between 2020 and 2023, D-AISZ returned to regular Lufthansa service. In February 2026, the aircraft received a distinctive heritage livery celebrating Lufthansa's 100th anniversary. Inspired by the Lockheed L-1649A Super Star, the scheme recreates Lufthansa's historic 1950s parabola design, giving the modern A321 the appearance of one of the airline's classic postwar aircraft.
Designed as a lengthened-fuselage version of the highly successful A320 design, the A321 was first flown on March 11th, 1993. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
