Airbus A321-231, registered HL8278, serial number 5500, was delivered to Asiana Airlines in March 2013 following assembly at Airbus's Hamburg Finkenwerder facility, having previously worn the test registration D-AZAM during production. As part of Asiana Airlines' substantial A321 fleet, the aircraft supports the South Korean carrier's domestic routes and short-haul international destinations across Northeast Asia from its hubs at Seoul Incheon and Gimpo airports. Asiana's A321 fleet forms a core part of the airline's narrowbody operations, complementing its widebody fleet on the carrier's shorter regional routes throughout the region.
Designed as a lengthened-fuselage version of the highly successful A320 design, the A321 was first flown on March 11th, 1993. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
