Airbus A321-213, registered B-1638, serial number 6641, built in 2015, flies for Air China as part of the flag carrier's substantial fleet of A321s equipped with CFM56 engines supporting domestic Chinese routes and regional international destinations. As one of Air China's core narrowbody aircraft, the A321-213 provides higher capacity than the airline's A320s on busier domestic trunk routes connecting major Chinese cities including Beijing, Xi'an, and Hangzhou. Air China's substantial Airbus narrowbody fleet operates alongside the carrier's Boeing 737 fleet, reflecting the airline's mixed-manufacturer approach to short and medium-haul route planning.
Designed as a lengthened-fuselage version of the highly successful A320 design, the A321 was first flown on March 11th, 1993. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
