Airbus A321-231(P2F), registered VH-ULD, serial number 835, holds the distinction of being the world's very first Airbus A321-200 passenger-to-freighter conversion, having previously worn registrations TC-OBJ, N835AG, G-MIDC, D-AVZZ, and D-ANJA before its cargo conversion. Operated by Express Freighters Australia on behalf of Qantas Freight, the pioneering conversion helped launch what has become a significant program for repurposing retired A321 passenger jets into dedicated freighters supporting Australian domestic and international parcel and cargo operations, connecting major Australian cities and international destinations for Australia Post and broader logistics customers.
