Boeing 737-8JP, operated by Aeromexico as XA-OCC. Originally delivered to Norwegian Air Shuttle as LN-DYD in April 2010, the aircraft later served Norwegian Air Sweden as SE-RRD before joining Aeromexico in June 2021. Configured with 186 seats, XA-OCC operates domestic and international services from Mexico to destinations throughout North and Central America and the Caribbean. Powered by two CFM International CFM56-7B engines, the 737-800 combines dependable performance with economical short and medium haul operation and continues to complement Aeromexico's growing fleet of newer Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. Designed as a smaller, short-ranged alternative to the Boeing 707 and 727, the 737 was first flown on April 9th, 1967. Over its long operational carreer, the 737 has spawned numerous variants ranging in capacity from less than 100 to more than 200 seats. In fact, the 737 series is the best-selling jetliner in aviation history with more than 6,500 aircraft manufactured to date and more than 4,500 still in service with over 500 airlines around the world.
