Boeing 737-852, operated by Aeromexico as N958AM. The aircraft joined Aeromexico's Boeing 737-800 fleet and operates domestic and international passenger services throughout Mexico and to destinations across the United States, Central America, and the Caribbean. Powered by two CFM International CFM56-7B engines, N958AM combines good passenger capacity with efficient short and medium haul performance. The 737-800 has been an important workhorse for Aeromexico, complementing its newer 737 MAX fleet. N958AM remains active in 2026, operating routes including Mexico City, Cancun, Merida, Torreon, Guadalajara, Chicago, and Fresno. Designed as a smaller, short-ranged alternative to the Boeing 707 and 727, the 737 was first flown on April 9th, 1967. Over its long operational carreer, the 737 has spawned numerous variants ranging in capacity from less than 100 to more than 200 seats. In fact, the 737 series is the best-selling jetliner in aviation history with more than 6,500 aircraft manufactured to date and more than 4,500 still in service with over 500 airlines around the world.
