Boeing 737-832, registered N388DA, serial number 3718, was delivered to Delta Air Lines in February 2000 as part of the carrier's substantial fleet of 737-800s supporting domestic and international short-to-medium-haul routes. Delta's 737-800 fleet, numbering in the dozens, forms a core part of the airline's narrowbody operations from its Atlanta, Minneapolis, and other hub airports. Configured in Delta's standard three-class layout with First, Comfort+, and Main Cabin seating, N388DA represents the reliable workhorse role the 737-800 has played in Delta's fleet for over two decades of continuous domestic and international service. Designed as a smaller, short-ranged alternative to the Boeing 707 and 727, the 737 was first flown on April 9th, 1967. Over its long operational carreer, the 737 has spawned numerous variants ranging in capacity from less than 100 to more than 200 seats. In fact, the 737 series is the best-selling jetliner in aviation history with more than 6,500 aircraft manufactured to date and more than 4,500 still in service with over 500 airlines around the world. Incredibly, there is a 737 taking off or landing somewhere in the world, on average, every five seconds. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
