Boeing 737-7H4, entered service with Southwest Airlines as N758SW in December 1999. The aircraft joined Southwest's rapidly growing 737-700 fleet and operated short and medium haul services throughout the United States. Configured in Southwest's single-class layout, N758SW became part of the fleet that helped the airline expand its nationwide network during the 2000s. Powered by two CFM International CFM56-7B engines, the 737-700 offered excellent reliability, efficiency, and operational flexibility. N758SW was withdrawn from service in May 2022 and subsequently stored at Birmingham, Alabama, where it was broken up later that year. Designed as a smaller, short-ranged alternative to the Boeing 707 and 727, the 737 was first flown on April 9th, 1967. Over its long operational carreer, the 737 has spawned numerous variants ranging in capacity from less than 100 to more than 200 seats. In fact, the 737 series is the best-selling jetliner in aviation history with more than 6,500 aircraft manufactured to date and more than 4,500 still in service with over 500 airlines around the world.
