The C8A Ambulance was a light military ambulance used by Commonwealth forces in World War II. Part of the Canadian Military Pattern (CMP) series, it was built by Chevrolet and Ford in Canada and was designed for rugged performance in various combat zones. The C8A featured a 4x4 drive and high ground clearance, allowing it to navigate difficult terrain while carrying up to four stretchers or multiple seated casualties. Equipped with basic medical supplies, it served primarily on the front lines, transporting wounded soldiers to field hospitals, and proved essential in ensuring timely medical care.
