RMS Queen Mary is a retired British ocean liner, famed for her elegance and speed. Built by John Brown & Company in Clydebank, Scotland, she made her maiden voyage in 1936 and quickly became one of the most iconic ships of her time. The Queen Mary served as a transatlantic passenger liner, carrying celebrities, royalty, and wartime troops across the Atlantic. During World War II, she was repurposed as a troopship, painted in a dark camouflage and nicknamed the "Grey Ghost." After her retirement in 1967, she was permanently docked in Long Beach, California, where she remains a popular hotel, museum, and historical landmark.
