Airbus A300B4 operated by Condor Flugdienst as D-AHLZ. The aircraft formed part of Condor's early widebody fleet and was used primarily on high-capacity leisure and charter services from West Germany to Mediterranean holiday destinations and longer-range vacation markets. Condor's A300s provided considerably more capacity than the Boeing 727s and other narrowbody aircraft that had previously dominated European charter flying. D-AHLZ appeared in Condor's classic 1970s and 1980s color schemes and helped establish the A300 as a practical aircraft for the rapidly expanding German package-tour industry. The type was eventually replaced as Condor adopted newer-generation Boeing 757 and 767 aircraft for its leisure network.
