Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, serial number 38755, line number 477, operated by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines as PH-BHI. The aircraft joined KLM as part of the airline's transition toward a more fuel-efficient long-haul fleet, replacing older Boeing 747s and other previous-generation widebodies. Powered by General Electric GEnx engines, PH-BHI has spent its career operating intercontinental services from Amsterdam Schiphol. The aircraft remains active in 2026, with recent assignments including Amsterdam-Seoul, Amsterdam-Shanghai and Amsterdam-Tokyo Narita. KLM's 787-9s combine long-range capability with a smaller capacity than the airline's 777s, making them particularly useful for long-haul markets requiring greater frequency rather than maximum capacity.
Designed as a mid-sized, wide-body airliner and constructed out of mostly composite material, the 787 was first flown on December 15th, 2009. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
