Boeing C-40A Clipper, a military derivative of the Boeing 737-700C, operated by the U.S. Marine Corps for passenger, cargo and logistics transportation. The Marines began receiving C-40As in 2023, with aircraft 170041, serial number 30184, becoming the first and joining Marine Transport Squadron 1 (VMR-1). A second aircraft, 170042, serial number 30185, followed. Both were originally built in 2001 for Saudi Aramco before conversion for military service. The C-40A can rapidly change between passenger, cargo and combination configurations, giving the Marine Corps a long-range replacement for its aging C-9B Skytrain II transports.
