Boeing 737-4D7, serial number 26611, line number 2318, operated by Thai Airways International as HS-TDD and named "Chumphon." First flown on June 17, 1992, it was delivered new to Thai Airways on July 10. The aircraft also carried special "The King's 72nd Celebration" markings. In early 2006 it was leased to Nok Air, where it suffered damage during a landing at Bangkok Don Mueang on February 5. After repairs, HS-TDD returned to Thai Airways in October 2008 and continued domestic and regional service. It was finally retired at U-Tapao on January 27, 2017 after nearly 25 years of operation.

Boeing 737-400

Designed as a smaller, short-ranged alternative to the Boeing 707 and 727, the 737 was first flown on April 9th, 1967. Over its long operational carreer, the 737 has spawned numerous variants ranging in capacity from less than 100 to more than 200 seats. In fact, the 737 series is the best-selling jetliner in aviation history with more than 6,500 aircraft manufactured to date and more than 4,500 still in service with over 500 airlines around the world. Incredibly, there is a 737 taking off or landing somewhere in the world, on average, every five seconds.
