JC Wings 1:400 Series XX4988
Boeing 737-400 Diecast Model
Thai Airways, HS-TDL

Limited Edition

1:400 Scale   Length   Width
Boeing 737-400   3.5"   2.75"

Boeing 737-4D7 operated by Thai Airways International as HS-TDL. The aircraft formed part of Thai Airways' Boeing 737-400 fleet, which was used primarily on domestic and short regional routes from Bangkok. The 737-400 was particularly important for services to Thai destinations where the airline's widebody aircraft provided unnecessary capacity, while maintaining sufficient seating for busy domestic sectors. HS-TDL wore Thai Airways' distinctive purple, gold and magenta color scheme and operated alongside the carrier's larger Airbus and Boeing fleets. Thai progressively retired its 737-400s as newer Airbus A320-family aircraft became available through Thai Smile, bringing the airline's long association with Boeing narrowbody passenger aircraft to an end.

Boeing 737-400

Designed as a smaller, short-ranged alternative to the Boeing 707 and 727, the 737 was first flown on April 9th, 1967. Over its long operational carreer, the 737 has spawned numerous variants ranging in capacity from less than 100 to more than 200 seats. In fact, the 737 series is the best-selling jetliner in aviation history with more than 6,500 aircraft manufactured to date and more than 4,500 still in service with over 500 airlines around the world. Incredibly, there is a 737 taking off or landing somewhere in the world, on average, every five seconds.
