Boeing 777-2D7, serial number 27726, line number 25, operated by Thai Airways International as HS-TJA and named "Lamphun." The aircraft first flew on March 1, 1996 and was delivered new to Thai Airways on March 31, becoming one of the airline's earliest Boeing 777s. Powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 875 engines, HS-TJA spent 24 years operating domestic, regional and international services and also carried special markings celebrating the King's 72nd birthday. Its final revenue service was flown on March 20, 2020, after which it was stored at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi. In April 2026, the aircraft was dismantled for transport and preservation in Thailand.

Boeing 777-200

Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to compete with the Airbus A330/A340 and the McDonnell Douglas MD-11, the 777 was first flown on June 12th, 1994. A pair of the world's largest diameter turbofan engines power the aircraft which currently holds the record for world's largest twin-engined airliner. The 777 was Boeing's first fly-by-wire airliner, featuring complete glass cockpit displays and flight envelope protection. Standard varients have a range of 4,200 nautical miles while Extended Range (ER) variants can fly for 6,600 nautical miles and the Longer Range (LR) variant is the world's longest range airliner capable of flying 7,800 nautical miles.
