Boeing 767-3P6ER(BDSF), serial number 26260, operated by Kalitta Air as N762CK. Built as a passenger 767, the aircraft was originally delivered to Gulf Air as A4O-GJ in 1993 and subsequently served several operators before conversion into a freighter. It eventually joined Kalitta Air as N762CK, becoming part of the Michigan-based carrier's growing 767 cargo fleet. The aircraft is used on scheduled and charter freight operations supporting express-package networks, government contracts and international cargo customers. N762CK remains active in 2026, complementing Kalitta's larger Boeing 747 freighters on routes where the smaller twin-engine 767 offers better capacity and operating economics.
Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to fill the niche between the narrow-bodied 707 and wide-bodied 747, the 767 was first flown on September 26th, 1981. Developed in tandem with the narrow-bodied 757 twinjet, both aircraft share a common digital cockpit layout and are operated by a two man flight crew. Thanks to a proven reliability track-record, the 767 is approved for extended twin engine operations (ETOPS) making it a popular choice for airlines flying transatlantic routes.
