Boeing 747-412, registered 9V-SPP, serial number 28029, flew for Singapore Airlines wearing a special Star Alliance livery reflecting the carrier's membership in the global airline alliance. Operating between 2001 and 2012 as part of Singapore Airlines' "Megatop" 747-400 fleet, one of the largest 747-400 operators alongside British Airways, the aircraft later transferred to Russian carrier Transaero as EI-XLN and subsequently to Moldovan operator Terra Avia as ER-TRV before being placed into storage. Singapore Airlines' 747-400 fleet, which grew to 41 passenger aircraft plus 18 freighter variants, anchored the carrier's long-haul network for over two decades before the type's retirement in April 2012.
Designed as a large capacity airliner and freight hauler, the 747 was first flown on February 9th, 1969. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
