Boeing 767-300F, registered HL7507, flies for Asiana Cargo as one of the carrier's remaining Boeing 767-300 series aircraft, alongside sister aircraft HL7528, the last active passenger example of the non-extended-range variant. Operating primarily from Asiana's hub at Seoul Incheon International Airport, HL7507 supports the airline's cargo operations connecting South Korea to regional and international freight markets. As one of only two Boeing 767-300 series aircraft remaining in Asiana's fleet from a peak of twenty different airframes operated over the years, HL7507 represents the final chapter of the carrier's long history with the type.
Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to fill the niche between the narrow-bodied 707 and wide-bodied 747, the 767 was first flown on September 26th, 1981. Developed in tandem with the narrow-bodied 757 twinjet, both aircraft share a common digital cockpit layout and are operated by a two man flight crew. Thanks to a proven reliability track-record, the 767 is approved for extended twin engine operations (ETOPS) making it a popular choice for airlines flying transatlantic routes.
