Boeing 737-5H4, operated by Southwest Airlines as N507SW. The aircraft was delivered new to Southwest during the early 1990s as part of the airline's fleet of smaller 737-500s, which complemented its larger 737-300s. The short-fuselage 737 was particularly useful on lower-demand routes while retaining cockpit and operational commonality with Southwest's other Classic 737s. N507SW spent its career flying the airline's extensive U.S. domestic network in Southwest's distinctive liveries. As newer 737-700 and 737-800 aircraft entered the fleet, the 737-500s were progressively retired, with Southwest operating its final examples in September 2016 and ending more than two decades of service for the subtype.
