Airbus A310-304, operated by Air India as VT-EVI. The aircraft formed part of Air India's important A310 fleet, providing medium and long haul services from India to destinations throughout Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Powered by two General Electric CF6 turbofan engines, the A310 offered widebody passenger capacity and useful international range in a smaller package than Air India's Boeing 747s. VT-EVI helped the carrier efficiently serve routes where Jumbo Jet capacity was unnecessary and represented an important generation in Air India's transition toward twin-engine widebody aircraft. Government fleet records confirm VT-EVI among Air India's A310-304 aircraft.
Designed as a smaller version of the original A300, the A310 was first flown on April 3rd, 1982. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
