Boeing 747-433, registered C-GAGN, was delivered to Air Canada on August 30, 1991, and served the carrier's long-haul international network for years before being converted to cargo configuration. Following its passenger retirement, the aircraft changed hands among several cargo operators, including ACG Air Cargo Global, before transferring to Moldovan carrier Aerotranscargo in September 2020. As one of Air Canada's original 747-400 fleet delivered in the early 1990s, C-GAGN represented the airline's flagship widebody during a period of major international expansion before the eventual retirement of Air Canada's 747 fleet in favor of more modern twin-engine widebodies.
