Airbus A340-541, serial number 1102, one of the last A340s ever built, was delivered new to the Kuwaiti government in November 2013, registered 9K-GBB, previously wearing the test registration F-WJKI during Airbus production. As a VIP-configured aircraft powered by four Rolls-Royce Trent 500 engines, 9K-GBB supports official Kuwaiti state travel and diplomatic missions, joining sister aircraft 9K-GBA in the government's small VIP transport fleet. The ultra-long-range A340-500 platform, capable of flying up to 8,000 nautical miles nonstop, made it well-suited for extended intercontinental diplomatic journeys without refueling stops.
Designed as a wide-bodied, long-haul passenger transport, the A340 was first flown on October 25th, 1991. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
