JC Wings 1:200 Series XX2392
Boeing 727-200 Diecast Model
Southwest Airlines, N569PE

1:200 Scale   Length   Width
Boeing 727-200   9.25"   6.5"

Boeing 727-227, registered N569PE, originally delivered to Braniff International in 1976 as N444BN, flew for Southwest Airlines from 1984 to 1985 as one of six leased 727-200s the carrier operated briefly while awaiting delivery of its first Boeing 737-300s. Southwest's unusual foray into trijet operations came after a lawsuit settlement with Braniff provided a leased aircraft, followed by additional 727s leased from People Express. After leaving Southwest, N569PE flew for People Express, Continental, and Pan Am before conversion to a freighter with TNT Express, eventually serving Ariana Afghan Airlines and finally the Afghan Air Force by 2014.

Boeing 727-200

Designed as a smaller, short/medium-ranged complement to the 707, the 727 was first flown on February 9th, 1963.
