Air New Zealand Link was introduced in 1991 to unify branding across the airline's regional operating partners, including Air Nelson, Mount Cook Airline, and the now-defunct Eagle Airways. As part of Air Nelson's Saab 340 fleet, ZK-NLP supported regional New Zealand routes for years under the Air New Zealand Link brand before eventual retirement.
