JC Wings 1:200 Series XX20328
Bombardier Dash 8-300 Diecast Model
Air New Zealand, ZK-NEC, w/Stand

Limited Edition

1:200 Scale   Length   Width
Bombardier Dash 8-300   5"   5.5"

De Havilland Canada DHC-8-311Q Dash 8, registered ZK-NEC, flies for Air New Zealand as part of the carrier's fleet of Q300 turboprops supporting the airline's regional domestic network across New Zealand. Air New Zealand has operated a substantial Dash 8 fleet, including both Q300 and larger Q400 variants, connecting smaller New Zealand cities and regional centers that are less economical to serve with larger jets. As part of this regional fleet, ZK-NEC supports Air New Zealand's extensive domestic network, complementing the carrier's mainline A320 and 787 operations on international and trunk routes.

Bombardier Dash 8-300

Designed as a short-haul transport based on the Dash 7 design, the Bombardier Dash 8 (formerly de Havilland Canada DHC-8) was first flown on June 20th, 1983. Appearing to be a smaller, twin-engined version of the Dash 7, the Dash 8 design placed less emphasis on STOL (Short take-off and landing) capability and focused more heavily on economical operation. The two Pratt & Whitney PW100 engines mated to a very high aspect ratio wing enabled the Dash 8 to offer the lowest cost per passenger mile of any regional airliner of it's era.
