Airbus A321-231, registered B-LEJ, was delivered to Hong Kong Express on March 21, 2018, wearing a special "Reward-U" livery celebrating the low-cost carrier's frequent flyer program at the time. Following Cathay Pacific Group's 2019 acquisition of Hong Kong Express, the Reward-U program was discontinued at the end of that year, replaced by Cathay's Asia Miles benefits scheme, though the aircraft retained its original branding. Hong Kong Express weathered severe disruption from Hong Kong's 2019 political unrest and the COVID-19 pandemic, with much of its fleet, including B-LEJ, placed into extended storage at Alice Springs, Australia.
Designed as a lengthened-fuselage version of the highly successful A320 design, the A321 was first flown on March 11th, 1993. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
