Airbus A350-941, construction number 553, was delivered to Japan Airlines as JA15XJ in 2021 as part of the carrier's widebody modernization program. The aircraft operates high demand domestic trunk routes within Japan, including Tokyo Haneda to Sapporo, Fukuoka, and Okinawa, replacing older Boeing 777 aircraft. JA15XJ features JAL's updated cabin with Class J and economy seating, improved lighting, and advanced inflight entertainment. Powered by Rolls Royce Trent XWB engines, the A350-900 provides strong fuel efficiency, reduced emissions, and enhanced passenger comfort.
