Airbus A330-323, serial number 1611, entered service with Korean Air as HL8025. Delivered in March 2015, the aircraft joined Korean Air's widebody fleet for regional and medium haul services from Seoul to destinations throughout Asia. It is configured with 24 Prestige Class and 248 Economy Class seats. Powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW4170 engines, HL8025 combines substantial passenger capacity with dependable performance and efficient operation. The aircraft has served routes linking Seoul with destinations including Hong Kong, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and other major Asian cities, and remains part of Korean Air's A330-300 fleet.
Designed as a wide-bodied, long-haul passenger transport to compete with the Boeing 767, the A330 was first flown on November 2nd, 1992. It was designed as a lengthened version of the A300 and was developed in parallel with the larger, four-engined A340, enabling many of the components to be shared between the three types. The A330 also uses the same fly-by-wire technology that was introduced with the A320, featuring a glass cockpit and side-stick controllers. The A330 has the same range and payload capacity as a DC-10 with 25% greater fuel efficiency. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
