British Aerospace BAe 146-300, serial number 3128, entered Thai Airways service around November 1989, registered HS-TBK, joining the carrier's fleet of quiet, short-runway-capable regional jets. The four-engine BAe 146 suited routes into airports with noise restrictions or shorter runways, complementing Thai Airways' larger jets on regional connections. After its time with Thai Airways, the aircraft continued flying for several European operators, including Jersey European Airways, British European, and Flybe, before eventually serving Star Peru in South America, reflecting the type's long secondhand service life across multiple continents and operators long after its original Thai Airways career ended.
Designed as low-cost, short-range transport the BAe 146 was developed from the Hawker Siddley HS.146 design and was first flown on December 3rd, 1981. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
